Wave Hill really is a spectacular place to enjoy with your kids. With 28 acres of gardens, grounds and woodlands there is plenty to do to keep your little ones having fun. Overlooking the Hudson River and Palisades in the Bronx, it is a little bit of paradise in New York City.
Now that the influx of holiday tourists has subsided, its finally time for New Yorkers to get out and flex their skating muscles at Citi Pond. January and February are the perfect time to enjoy a less crowded, yet no less beautiful spin around the ice rink in the park. Remember, Citi Pond is New York's only free admission skating rink. What better reason do you need to plan a visit?

Mayor Bloomberg and Chancellor Walcott updated New Yorkers on the potential School Bus Strike. Unfortunately, it now looks like the union-Local 1181 of the Amalgamated Transit Union- will go on strike this week, possibly Wednesday.
If they decide to strike, it would jeopardize the education and safety of the more than 150,000 students who take school buses every single day, in a year when students have already missed a week or more of school because of Hurricane Sandy.
