It's My Park Day, presented by Partnerships for Parks, works with hundreds of community parks groups to lead clean up events in neighborhood parks all across the city.
Partnerships for Parks is a public-private partnership led by NYC Parks and the City Parks Foundation.

The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Prospect Park Zoo will host Autism Awareness Month activities in collaboration with Autism Speak’s nation-wide Zoos Go Blue event on Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
We are sorry to report that Extreme Kids & Crew’s CAP House was vandalized sometime over the weekend of April 19th and 20th. CAP House is an intimate, sensory play space located within Crispus Attucks park in Bed Stuy designed for children with special needs ages 6 months to 5 years of age.

These are the first gorillas born at the Bronx Zoo since 2006.
The Bronx Zoo’s Congo Gorilla Forest is now home to 20 gorillas – the largest group of gorillas in North America. The Bronx Zoo has a successful history breeding gorillas as part of the Species Survival Plan, a cooperative breeding program designed to enhance the genetic viability of animal populations in zoos accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
