David Weinstone and The Music for Aardvarks Band will perform two concerts for kids at The Jewish Museum on Sunday, February 10 at 11:30 am and 2:00 pm. Families will hear favorite songs that celebrate being a kid in New York City such as City Kid, Taxi, Jack Hammer Joe and Modern Art. David Weinstone, founder of Music for Aardvarks, explains, "our shows are rockin', and we try to have as much audience participation as possible. We've even had kids come up on stage with us to sing or dance."

SATURDAY JANUARY 19 Ice Festival @ Central Park Sip on hot chocolate while watching Okamoto Studio carve Belvedere Castle and its surrounding landscape out of ice and learn about the geologic history of Central Park. Scandinavian Sing-Along @ Scandinavia House Scandinavia holds a treasure-trove of children’s songs and games. Mayor Bloomberg and Chancellor Walcott updated New Yorkers on the potential School Bus Strike. Unfortunately, it now looks like the union-Local 1181 of the Amalgamated Transit Union- will go on strike this week, possibly Wednesday.
If they decide to strike, it would jeopardize the education and safety of the more than 150,000 students who take school buses every single day, in a year when students have already missed a week or more of school because of Hurricane Sandy.
