Welcome to our February Must Do List. Here we share fun family happenings for the month ahead. We may be looking at a cold start to February, but that doesn’t stop us having fabulous fun with our little ones.


Manga Workshop: Basics for Aspiring Artists
Wednesdays, February 3—April 21, 4—5 PM
Hosted by Japan Society

Learn to become a manga artist from home! With this series, manga enthusiasts can transform their imaginations into their very own manga. This ten-session course for artists will establish the basic drawing skills, character design and story development needed for manga design. Manga artists will help students infuse their designs with their own unique style, and unlock their inner manga artists through personal attention.

Tuition: $250/$200 Japan Society members. Designed for students ages 11-17. Space is limited to 15 students: advanced registration required.

TADA! Youth Theater February Mini-Series
Selected dates: February 3-25
Online, hosted by TADA! Youth Theater

Sing! Dance! Act! Play! TADA! Youth Theater invites your child, ages 4-10, to explore their creative side in a 4-week musical theater class! During this online, interactive musical theater mini-series, students will:

  • Engage in weekly musical theater training
  • Learn vocals and choreography to a song from a popular Broadway musical
  • Play fun, active theater games!

*Song selections and musical theater skills for each class will be chosen based on the age range, skill level, and interests of the group.

Virtual Punk Rock Magic Party with Mario the Maker Magician

Spring hasn’t arrived yet and we’ll take all the sun we can get! Brighten up your window by creating your own suncatcher using a unique print-transfer technique along with materials found around the house.

Daddy Daughter Date Night!

Daddy Daughter Date Night is as sweet as it can get! Come in with your sweetheart and create a beautiful Masterpiece and colorful memories together! Due to social distancing we have limited tables. Reservation is required!

You can pick and choose from a variety of our ceramics – heart plates, picture frames, heart mugs, love plaque, heart box, or any ceramic you would like! Complimentary chocolates will be served. Studio fee covers unlimited paints, all supplies glazing and firing.

Join us via Zoom every Tuesday and Friday for story time and crafts! Each class includes a special Little New-Yorkers hello song, silly dances and songs, a story book reading, and a craft to do at home. This week, read This Moose Belongs To Me, written and illustrated by Oliver Jeffers, and meet Wilfred who thinks he owns a moose named Marcel.  Find out who Marcel the moose really belongs to! Then, create your own moose that belongs only to you.
