Nestled in the heart of the East Village, New Amsterdam School provides a nature-based Waldorf education for children ages 10 months to 6 years old. Our inclusive community is dedicated to fostering holistic development, creativity, and hands-on learning. We aim to ignite imagination, nurture emotional intelligence, and promote physical well-being through a contemporary Waldorf education approach, emphasizing respect for nature, oneself, and others.

In our Early Childhood program, children explore self-directed play, music, baking, painting, and nature, thereby developing essential motor skills, social competence, and self-awareness, setting the foundation for future success.

Additionally, we offer free bi-monthly playgroups, enriching educational experiences, and an after-school program. Our school has a unique partnership with El Jardin Paradiso Garden, where we operate an outdoor kindergarten, and our students frequently visit and actively engage with this beautiful natural space.
