The Parkside School welcomes students from diverse ethnic, social and economic backgrounds who have a range of language-based learning difficulties. Our high ratio of teachers and therapists to students facilitates a personalized, tailored, strengths-based approach. Classrooms have two dedicated and supportive teachers. The school has five speech and language pathologists, four occupational therapists, and five social workers. Each department consults with teachers, offers classroom strategies, and provides individual therapies. The school also has a robust arts and movement program so that children can develop and nurture their creative passions. This level of individualized attention promotes children's confidence, self-esteem, and connection to their community.
