03 Jun What’s On for Kids this Weekend in NYC: June 5 & 6
Have a look at some fabulous family events taking place this weekend in the city, or from the comfort of your own home. Below are our picks for making this weekend one to remember for your family.
Families and Folk Art: Transforming Photographs
Saturday June 5, 10am – 10:45am
Online, hosted by the American Folk Art Museum
Families with children ages 4 and up are invited to join us for discussion and art-making around the theme of transformation.
Many artists in the exhibition Photo Brut used existing photographs in their work, altering them in a multitude of ways to create something different or unrecognizable; photographs served as the basis for their inspiration.
Families are invited to join this virtual program for a discussion around some of these artists and an art-making activity related to the theme of transformation. Registrants will be provided with a list of materials to gather prior to the event.
