Museum on Wheels: Kite Festival at Brooklyn Bridge Park
Breeze in to join Museum on Wheels at the annual Kite Festival —the one day each year that you can fly a kite at Brooklyn Bridge Park! As you watch your kite soar above the city skyline, head to our mobile museum and explore the power of wind through hands-on art-making. Express your creativity by designing pinwheels and a cape (or wings!), and enjoy games and giveaways from Yadestiny Treasure Chest .
These all-ages experiences are inspired by the flowing, aerodynamic materials featured in Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses—a very special fashion exhibition that opens May 16 at the Brooklyn Museum.
This program is created in partnership with Brooklyn Bridge Park. Can’t make this one? Follow our route across Brooklyn and subscribe to our newsletters for the latest Museum on Wheels updates.
Free and open to the public. Space is limited for all art-making activities; first come, first served.
Location:
Pier 5, 334 Furman St,
Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201
