Watson Adventures’ Wizard School Virtual Scavenger Hunt

Grab your magic wands for a wizarding adventure that takes you to museums across America in search of art that echoes characters, places, and magical objects in the famed Harry Potter books and movies, all without leaving your home. You’ll track down slithering serpents, Hagrid-like giants and eerie figures as scary as any Dementor. This hunt references the books and provides a surprising bridge to many strange and wonderful works of art.

Explore the movement of water and the many shapes it takes through creating your own personal garden fountains from clay. Sculpt hybrid forms from shapes explored using the movement of your body and your body’s own unique narrative. Dedicate your fountain to someone or something that has helped shape you.

Memorial Day Weekend at Intrepid

Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, Pier 86, W 46th St, New York, NY 10036

In recognition of our men and women in uniform, the Intrepid Museum celebrates Memorial Day weekend, May 28-31. Memorial Day weekend activities will kick off Friday, May 28 with our annual movie night on the flight deck, featuring the iconic film Forrest Gump! Throughout the weekend, explore a variety of displays, activities and demos from the military, including the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Coast Guard. The weekend will conclude on Monday, May 31 with the Museum’s annual Memorial Day ceremony, which will be livestreamed for the public.

Scandinavian Music Festival
Sunday May 30, 2pm – 4pm
Location: Billings Lawn, Fort Tyron Park

The Scandinavian Music Festival in Fort Tryon Park, now in its 16th season, is a unique series of three outdoor summer concerts performed by musicians of the New York Scandia Symphony and guest artists on Sundays in May and June. The concerts take place at a scenic and attractive venue, Billings Lawn, below the Heather Garden and with spectacular views of the Hudson River. The artists speak to the audience as they introduce the music, culture, and traditions of Scandinavia. Bring your blanket! Free admission.
