This virtual adventure will send you off to explore the world’s best museums and historic locations via links to eye-popping websites. Your challenge: follow our clues, find amazing objects, and answer tricky questions about them. Stops along the way include a 360-degree view of the ancient streets of Pompeii, Italy, prehistoric cave paintings in France, a swim around the Great Barrier Reef and a live panda cam in China.

Children’s Day from Home: Health, Happiness and Sports!

Join us for Japan’s national holiday where all children are stars and their happiness is celebrated! This Children’s Day, get up and move with our live online events just for families! All are invited to participate in full-body workshops highlighting popular sports from Japan including karate, aikido, and tate sword-fighting. After energizing the body and mind with our live sports workshops, families can continue to celebrate with at-home activities to create their own traditional Children’s Day crafts!

Flower Patch at Queens Botanical Garden

Queens Botanical Garden is hosting its first ever Flower Patch, an intimate experience among spring flowers on Sundays, May 2, and May 9 (Mother’s Day)!

Unique floral and garden creature installations transform the QBG Farm into a fantastic flower spectacle creating an immersive environment and stunning backdrop for photos. Pick your own pot of flowers to take home with you, and a floral themed grab-and-go craft activity kit. Fee includes general Garden admission and entry to the Patch.

Kids Laughter Class

Free Kids Laughter Yoga Class. Laughter helps kids (and adults) reduce stress, feel happier and find more joy in life. It’s 30 minutes of laughing exercises and breathing techniques, which is scientifically shown to increase happiness levels, reduce anxiety, and improve overall brain health and function.

This class is ideal for 4-10 year olds, but adults and pets are welcome. Eric (a pet duck) will be there too. Laughter is universal and available for everyone to enjoy. Even ducks!
