Celebrate Holi at Brooklyn Children’s Museum! Together with Ajna Dance Company and The Culture Tree, get ready for our annual celebration of springtime, renewal, color, and play!

Also known as the “Color Festival,” Holi originated in India and is now enjoyed by millions of people worldwide. Come hungry and ready to play as we celebrate a day of art, dance, food, music, and wonder that will make your whole family feel like you’ve been transported to the streets of India (or Trinidad or Guyana).

Whitney Museum Open Studio 2025

Families with kids of all ages are invited to get creative at the Whitney! Join us to make your own art inspired by works on view in the collection and current exhibitions. Each week we offer a different artmaking project.

Art for Tots (Ages 3–4): Movement at Noguchi
The Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum, 9-01 33rd Road (at Vernon Boulevard), Long Island City, New York 11106
$16 non-members / Free for members, Cool Culture, SNAP/EBT

This session of Art for Tots is designed for preschool toddlers ages 3–4 and their caregivers. Explore artworks in the galleries and strategies for navigating museum spaces with young ones.

This month we’ll look at Noguchi’s designs for Martha Graham dance sets and experiment with the body in movement. The program registration includes full admission to the Museum.

Family Birding Tour in Central Park
Belvedere Castle, Central Park
$15 for the first child, $5 for each additional child. Adults join for free.

Birding is for everyone! Enjoy a family experience in the Park as we learn how to find and identify our winged friends.

Introduce the young people in your life to the beauty and fun of birding with this hands-on birding experience that’s perfect for the whole family. Our expert guides will lead young birders and their grown-ups on an adventure to learn the ins and outs of finding and identifying birds.

Family Art Project: Leafy Scrapbook

Most events are free with admission to the grounds

Explore the bright green growth of new spring leaves. Make your own scrapbook and add some leafy prints to capture and preserve memories of the season. At 11:30am families can enjoy a storytime program in the Gund Theater, all ages welcome.
