The École Launches Scholarship Program 2022-2023

The École Offers Additional Financial Aid for 2021-2022

The École is Excited to Make Additional Financial Aid Available to New Applicants for the Upcoming School Year

Due to the unprecedented situation with COVID-19, many families are struggling with the education of their children, especially in the Public School system. For some children, learning online or in a hybrid format where they are not able to be onsite all day, every day might, in some cases, heavily impact their learning experience. Although enrollment is well underway for 2021-2022 and The École’s classes are already filling up, there are still some seats available, and The École is very happy to be able to make an additional budget of financial aid available to new applicants.

This additional budget will be allocated according to the exact same criteria that The École has used for families who have received financial aid in the past. These criteria are:

  • Financial situation, diversity and merit
  • Willingness of the family to make their children’s education a priority
  • Up to 50% of the total tuition can be covered by the Financial Aid

Of this exciting news, Philippe and Laurence Roux, The École’s Benefactors, said, “This additional financial aid, along with the five full-ride Middle School scholarships that we have awarded for the coming school year, will go a long way in our mission of ensuring that a maximum number of children can benefit from our unique bilingual program.” They continued, “What makes The École unique is that students don’t just learn French and English; they learn IN French and IN English.” For new applicants who may need additional help in English or in French, The École offers ESL (English as a Second Language) and FLE (French as a Second Language) classes.

About The École: The École is an independent, French-American bilingual school serving an international community of Maternelle-to-Middle School students in New York City’s Flatiron District. The École artfully blends the best of the French and American educational systems, gifting students with deep academic bi-literacy, whole-child skills and knowledge, and an optimistic, multi- cultural perspective. Founded in 2009 as École Internationale de New York (EINY), the school went through a complete re-branding in June of 2018 when it became The École.
