19 Jun Summer Learn to Swim is Back With NYC Parks

Swimming not only keeps you safe, but also promotes your overall health and wellbeing. To help New Yorkers make the most of the summer, NYC Parks is providing swimming lessons for all ages at their public pools. Specifically, they are offering Learn to Swim classes for young children from 1 1/2 to 5 years old, as well as those between 6 to 17 years old.

Program Dates
Session 1: July 10 – July 21
Session 2: July 24 – August 4
Session 3: August 7 – August 18

How to Register
Registration for Learn to Swim is conducted through a free secure online lottery system, followed by in-person registration.

Online Registration
Lottery registration for the spring session is open from noon on Tuesday June 13, 2023 to noon on Monday, June 26, 2023

Winners are chosen at random. Applicants who are not chosen will be placed on a waiting list. You must have a valid email address. You will be notified by email of the lottery results by Friday, June 30.

Online Registration Rules
You or your child may register for one class per session. Registering more than once will not increase your chances to win; it will automatically disqualify you or your child from the lottery as a duplicate.

If you or your child has won a spot you will have three days to confirm your spot by email or you will be placed on the waitlist.
Parents should submit one application for each of their children. Lottery selections are non-transferable. If you or your child has won a spot, you cannot give this spot to another person, even if it’s another family member.

If you or your children are not selected in the online lottery, you will be placed on a waiting list for this program and will be emailed if a slot becomes available. We are not able to tell you your current place on the waiting list.
