Say Hello to Kerri Quigley Founder of The Fashion Class

Say Hello to Kerri Quigley, Founder of The Fashion Class

Tell us a bit about yourself

I grew up in Brooklyn NY and always loved craft time. My grandmother taught me to sew when I was six and it opened up a whole new world for me. I began making my own clothes, went to Parsons School of Design, and after working in the fashion industry, began The Fashion Class in 2010!

Where are you based and what areas does your business cover

My studios are based in the Midtown and Upper East Side neighborhoods of Manhattan. I run sewing and fashion design classes, camps, and birthday parties for ages six and up.

Tell us a bit about your business and what inspired you to start it

I started The Fashion Class to share my love of sewing with other children. When I was a child, fashion design was my creative outlet helping me to become more confident. It’s an amazing skill and I’m so happy to be able to share my passion with NYC families.

What can we expect to see from you in the future

I recently had my first book come out, called Fashion Design for Kids. In the future I expect to be writing more, creating some fun online fashion content and, of course, running the TFC studios.
