22 Aug New Swedish Language Class For Younger New Yorkers at Scandinavia House
Scandinavia House: The Nordic Center in America is very excited to announce a new Swedish language class for younger New Yorkers!
Taught by professional Swedish instructor Malin Tybahl, who also teaches adult language classes at Scandinavia House, the course will be for both students completely new to the language, and those that may know a few words or phrases. It will include basic concepts such as the alphabet and sounds, numbers, how to structure questions and the difference between nouns and verbs. The students will also learn how to say things about themselves and their families. Each class consists of both academic and conversational elements. The result will be fun for students while also introducing them to a language and culture.
The class will be focused on elementary school aged children, from first grade through fifth grade, and will run weekly on Wednesdays after school from 5:10-6:25 PM for 12 weeks, from September 11th through December 11th; enrollment is $499 ($449.10 ASF Members).
Join in for fun with Nordic language learning and to introduce young audiences to Scandinavia this semester!
