Founded in 1943, Manhattan Day School/Yeshiva Ohr Torah has a storied history of providing a strong foundation in both Judaic and General studies in a warm, joyous school community inspired by Torah values and focused on development of character and leadership. While much has changed at MDS over the three quarters of a century since our school founding- shop and home economics have been replaced by coding and robotics, curricula and models of academic instruction have transformed, exceptional fine arts, music, and athletic programs have enhanced the core disciplines, and a renovated state of the art facility welcomes over five hundred joyous students daily – those foundational values and sense of family are as vibrant in our school today as they were over seventy five years ago.
