23 Sep Learn to Skate at Central Park’s Gottesman Rink: Register by September 30 for Early Bird Rates

It’s time to start planning for winter on the ice. Learn to Skate is returning to the Gottesman Rink at Central Park’s Davis Center, with six-week group sessions for children as young as 2, teens, and adults. Each lesson lasts 30 minutes, and classes follow the U.S. Figure Skating Learn to Skate curriculum so skaters can build their skills at their own pace.

Families can choose a class that fits their skater’s age and experience. My Tot & Me welcomes children ages 2 to 5 alongside a grown-up, while Snowplow Sam is designed for children 6 and under. There are also progressive skills classes for ages 7 to 17 and separate classes for adults.

Register by September 30 to lock in last season’s rates: $210 for My Tot & Me or $150 for other Learn to Skate programs, per six-week session. Skate rentals are included. Bring a helmet if your child needs one; the Davis Center encourages helmets, especially for skaters under 12, and does not offer helmet rentals.
