GSM preschool uses an inquiry-based approach to ignite love for life-long learning in a multilingual environment. Our expert teachers facilitate play-based exploration promoting cognitive, linguistic, and cultural development adhering to international curriculum standards. GSM preschool enrolls students starting at age 3. Attending our bilingual preschool is the ideal preparation for our academically stimulating K-5 program.

About GSM:
German-American School Manhattan has re-imagined bilingual education for NYC. Our school’s unique proposition is that the German educational model is blended with the NY State academic standards and by that going beyond the expectations of either: The inquiry-based approach adds depth and agency to our students’ learning. Our team of highly qualified teachers support individual student needs in intimate class settings (12 students average). In the context of a globally connected future we are teaching relevant skills regarding the self and the world we are shaping. GSM values academics, art and activism and raises future leaders that dare to make a difference.

What sets GSM apart:
GSM is the only German-English dual immersion elementary school in the borough. The newly established Preschool is open to students that don’t have prior exposure to German language. Located in the heart of Tribeca on Warren Street, GSM admits children starting at 3 years of age. GSM is currently an IB PYP Candidate School.

We celebrate global mindedness! GSM is a diverse community with more than 20 languages spoken across our families. Families come from all of NYC’s boroughs and New Jersey.
