Free Summer Meals for NYC Kids

Free Summer Meals for NYC Kids

From June 29th to September 1st, the New York City Department of Education is offering Free Summer Meals for kids and young adults as a healthy alternative to unhealthy junk food. These meals are available at schools, parks, pools, libraries, and food trucks in all five boroughs, providing free breakfast and lunch for all children ages 18 and under, as well as individuals with disabilities participating in special education programs.

No identification or application is required for these meals, which are free of charge and provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture through the Office of Food & Nutrition Services, a part of the New York City Department of Education.

For the full list of all Free Summer Meals locations (including at parks and pools) and their breakfast and lunch schedule, please visit DOE’s Summer Meals website.
