Halloween Celebration at AMNH
Trick or treat! Join us for a Halloween Celebration of prehistoric proportions. Candy-hungry explorers, step right up! All ages are invited to enjoy games, interactive crafts, live performances, face painting, and not-too-spooky festivities beneath the Blue Whale as well as treat stops throughout the halls.
Costumes are encouraged, but please leave Halloween masks at home.
Highlights of the Halloween Celebration include:
Museum-wide treat stops
Hands-on crafts including an opportunity to decorate a treat bag
Exciting live performances from magician Magical Monty
Live animal encounters with A Touch of Nature’s Christine Zelenka
Costume contests for different age groups, with winners selected throughout the day
As an added treat, the Museum will host complimentary screenings of the classic Halloween film Hocus Pocus (recommended for ages 10 and up) at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm in the LeFrak Theater. Screenings will be open to all Museum visitors, including visitors attending the Halloween Celebration.
This event is available only with purchase of Museum admission for Friday, October 31. General Admission to the Museum, which is pay-what-you-wish for New Yorkers, must be purchased separately at tickets.amnh.org or on-site.
