The Dumbo Drop 2025 is happening on Friday, May 30, and it’s bringing thousands of parachuting toy elephants, an epic block party, live entertainment, and family-friendly fun—all in support of local public schools.

What Is the Dumbo Drop?

The Dumbo Drop is a unique annual fundraiser where thousands of mini toy elephants—each attached to a parachute designed by a local artist—are dropped from rooftops onto Washington Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Now in its ninth year, this event helps raise essential funds for PS307 Elementary and The Dock Street Middle School.

This year’s parachute design is by celebrated neighborhood artist Zeph Farmby, adding a splash of creativity and community pride to the event.

– Gates open: 3:30 PM (first drop at 5:00 PM)
– Second wave: Gates reopen at 6:00 PM (drop at 7:00 PM)
