Bronx Zoo’s annual daytime family-friendly Halloween tradition is back at the Bronx Zoo. Come dressed in your Halloween best and enjoy!

New This Year…

Halloween Maze
Find your way through a maze and complete a scavenger hunt to learn about so-called “spooky” animals and bust some creepy myths.
Astor Court, 11AM – 4PM

Face Painting
Transform into a spooky or sweet creature with free face-painting for children ages 3+!
Butterfly Patio Pad — Across from the Mouse House entrance
11am – 4pm. Line closes promptly at 3:30pm.

Creepy Crawly Mystery Wall
Touch and feel mysterious textures and materials to learn about animals and other creatures!

Halloween Mash Up
Dance, sing, and play with our fan favorite emcee!

Boo at the Zoo Mural
Help fill in the Boo at the Zoo mural, and draw your favorite animal or spooky creature.

Costume Parade
Delight in amazing costumed entertainment by our stilt walkers and Halloween-themed puppets. Join in the fun and make sure you’re showing off your Halloween best!

Magic & Mind Reading
A popular magician is back with an animal-inspired magic and mind-reading show, sure to thrill and delight the entire family.

Pumpkin Carving Demos
Watch as expert artists create giant animals and intricate scenes out of pumpkins.

Spooky Stories to Tickle Your Spine
Listen to folktales from around the world featuring animals that you can see here in the zoo!

WILDLIFE THEATER: The Wildlife Witch’s Super Scary Halloween Show
Join the witch and all her creepy crawly friends. The bat, vulture, owl and snake (puppets) have a lot to say about how “creepy” they are in this funny, short musical for the whole family.

Treat Station
Enjoy a treat at the palm oil free candy station.
Astor Court, 11AM – 2PM
Limit one turn per family, candy distribution reserved for children only. While supplies last.
