06 Jan Mark Morris Dance Group and Brooklyn Music School Camps
Brighten up your mid-winter and spring break with music and dance! Mark Morris Dance Group and Brooklyn Music School have teamed up to bring kids ages 5 to 12 a unique interdisciplinary camp during NYC public schools’ 2025 mid-winter and spring breaks. Inspired by Pepperland, Mark Morris’ critically acclaimed work set to the iconic music of The Beatles, the mid-winter camp invites young artists to dive into Morris’ choreography and use those concepts to create their own unique dance and music expressions. The spring session brings the magic of the award-winning musical Seussical Jr. to life. Campers will dive into the world of Dr. Seuss, creating their own dance moves and scenes inspired by the beloved musical.
With a mix of dance, music, and theater classes, children will explore, create, and perform in a week brimming with energy and imagination.
The Music and Dance Camps unfold in a dual-campus format, with mornings at Brooklyn Music School (126 St. Felix Street) and afternoons at the Mark Morris Dance Center (3 Lafayette Avenue). At week’s end, campers will showcase their creativity in an informal performance for family and friends at the Brooklyn Music School Playhouse.
Open to children at all levels, with and without disabilities.
