It’s that magical time of year again — Wollman Rink in Central Park is opening for the 2025–2026 ice skating season! One of New York City’s most iconic winter destinations, the rink welcomes skaters back to the ice starting Sunday, October 26, marking the start of months of classic NYC winter fun beneath the skyline.

Skating at Wollman Rink is a cherished New York tradition — whether you’re gliding hand-in-hand with family, teaching little ones their first steps on the ice, or soaking up the city’s sparkle under the trees of Central Park. The rink’s unbeatable views and festive atmosphere make it one of the most memorable winter experiences in the city.

To celebrate the start of the season, Sunday, October 26 and Monday, October 27 will be Community Days, offering free admission for all. Free Community Tickets will be available starting at wollmanrinknyc.com, or in person at the Box Office.

Monday, October 27: 10:00am – 2:30pm
