The Davis Center at the Harlem Meer

The Davis Center at the Harlem Meer Opening Spring 2025

The Davis Center at the Harlem Meer, a transformative $160 million investment in equity for Harlem and all of New York, is set to open in the spring of 2025. This project reflects more than four decades of commitment from the Central Park Conservancy to ensure equal access to nature, recreation, and wellness for all New Yorkers.

This initiative highlights the critical importance of investing in our cities’ public spaces, ensuring they remain vibrant, accessible, and integral to the well-being of all. The Conservancy’s foundation of trust, built through longstanding relationships with the community, city government, and donors, has made us uniquely positioned to lead this ambitious project.

The Davis Center will seamlessly integrate into Central Park’s north end, reconnecting the community with nature and restoring access to the landscape that was once obstructed. Offering year-round activities like ice skating, swimming, and family-friendly field events, it will be a vibrant urban hub for gathering, playing, and enjoying the outdoors.

A New Community Destination
The Davis Center at the Harlem Meer will open year-round with a robust offering of inclusive, family-friendly programming as well as improved access to the Ravine woodland for nature-based activities. In addition to a state-of-the-art pool and rink, the facility will feature a gathering space, locker rooms, and public restrooms to ensure a comfortable and convenient experience for all visitors. Every activity and amenity is designed to provide meaningful, accessible experiences that are free or low-cost.
