The 2024 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is arriving soon! This year’s Norway Spruce lands on November 9, journeying from West Stockbridge, MA — the first from the state since 1959.

Donated by the Albert family, the 11-ton Christmas Tree is 74 feet tall and 43 feet in diameter. After touching down on Center Plaza, the Tree will be decorated with over 50,000 multi-colored, energy-saving LED lights and a 9-foot, 900-pound star adorned with 3 million Swarovski crystals.

Ahead of the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 4, Rockefeller Center invites visitors to this year’s Tree Arrival Family Festivities. Guests of all ages will be treated to live music, kid-friendly activities, and a visit from Santa Claus and his elves.

This year’s Tree Arrival Family Festivities boasts a day of fun for the whole family as the iconic Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree makes it’s way onto the Plaza. Programming will take place on South Plaza, as well as additional happenings Under 30 Rock and at Top of the Rock.

Performances by The Rock and Roll Playhouse: The largest performer of kid-friendly live concerts in the nation will be performing classic holiday covers

Book Readings: Join McNally Jackson for holiday storytimes on South Plaza directly outside their store on 48th Street

Caricature Artists: Get a *caricature portrait done by one of our professional artists at Top of the Rock. *Complimentary with a purchased ticket to Top of the Rock

Visit from Santa and his elves: Be sure to head Under 30 Rock to see Santa and his elves! While you’re there refuel with a bite to eat or quick drink from one of our many retailer options.
