20 Mar Row New York’s Summer Rowing Camp
Row New York’s summer rowing camp is the ultimate opportunity to spend summer outdoors, learning a new sport, getting fit, having fun, and making friends!
Designed for beginners, our camp provides a welcoming introduction to rowing, while experienced rowers can refine their skills and gain extra time on the water.
Campers will learn the fundamentals of sculling—a rowing style using two oars—both on and off the water. They’ll start on rowing machines (ergometers) to build a strong foundation in technique, equipment basics, and on-water safety. Then, they’ll quickly transition to the water, where coaches will lead fun drills and short training sessions to develop confidence and skill. By the end of camp, rowers will be ready to participate in a friendly scrimmage with their fellow campers.
Each session includes land training and stretching to support overall fitness. No prior athletic experience is required—just a willingness to take on new challenges and a curiosity to learn something new!
