24 Dec Manhattan Fencing Summer Day Camps

Discover the art of fencing in a fun, structured, and inspiring environment at Manhattan Fencing Center’s Summer Day Camps. Fencing is often called “physical chess”—a sport that challenges both the body and the mind—and most camp weeks intentionally combine fencing and chess instruction to develop strategic thinking, focus, and smart decision-making.

Each week, campers build fencing skills through engaging games, footwork drills, coordination and conditioning exercises, and age-appropriate technical instruction. The fencing-and-chess combination teaches athletes how to think ahead, adapt under pressure, and translate mental strategy into physical action.

Our youth camps are ideal for beginners and developing fencers, providing a strong foundation in fencing fundamentals, etiquette, coordination, and confidence. For athletes with tournament experience, we also offer intermediate and advanced camps that focus on higher-intensity training, tactical awareness, competitive strategy, and mental preparation.

Ages 5–16 will explore fencing history and fun facts, learn proper etiquette, and develop strong footwork fundamentals, coordination, and conditioning. Through team competitions and guided challenges, students also build essential sports psychology skills such as focus, resilience, and confidence—both on and off the strip.

What to bring:
T-shirt, shorts, sneakers, water bottle, and lunch. All fencing equipment is provided.
