Sundays, September 27—December 13
Learn Japanese through a series of fun, interactive course designed just for kids! This fall, we are offering new exploratory sessions for children ages 3-5 and 6-10.
These courses will be conducted online via Zoom. To participate fully, you will need access to a device with internet, microphone, and camera (such as a laptop, smartphone, or tablet). Further instructions will be provided before the course begins in September. Please note that all times listed are New York time (EDT/UTC-04:00).

Japanese for Kids: 3-5 Year Olds
Sundays, September 27—December 13, 10:30—11 AM
10 Lessons (No class on 10/11 and 11/29)
Young learners explore Japanese language and culture through a seasonal and theme-based curriculum filled with storytelling, songs, games and interactive activities (PDF). Children will gain basic vocabulary and understanding through fun, online activities.
Tuition: $165/$125 Japan Society members. Adult accompaniment required. Space is limited to 10 students: advanced registration required.
Japanese for Kids: 6-10 Year Olds
Sundays, September 27—December 13, 11:30 AM—12 PM
10 Lessons (No class on 10/11 and 11/29)
Using a theme-based curriculum, children will learn everyday Japanese through a variety of age-appropriate activities, games, songs, and engaging activities. In addition to listening, speaking, basic reading and writing skills are introduced in a fun and supportive environment.
Tuition: $165/$125 Japan Society members. Adult accompaniment recommended. Space is limited to 10 students: advanced registration required.
