French American School of New York

French American School of New York

Founded in 1980 as a one-classroom preschool, the French American School of New York (FASNY) has evolved to become an international and bilingual N-12 day school educating more than 700 students on three campuses in Mamaroneck and Larchmont, New York. It is the only school in the New York metropolitan area accredited to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma and the French Baccalaureate.

Students at FASNY are offered the opportunity to participate in either the French-American Program or the International Program, which begins in grade 1, no previous French required. The two programs reflect the dual spirit of the school: the depth and rigor of the French educational tradition, and the openness and inquiry of an international perspective. While each student’s journey is distinct, they share a common foundation of academic excellence, bilingualism, a focus on learning, and character development based on values of respect, empathy, and positivity. Regardless of the path they choose, every FASNY graduate leaves with a strong academic foundation, intercultural competence, and the tools to thrive in a complex and interconnected world.
