Space Glide at the New York Hall of Science

Do you ever wish you could glide and slide around as if you were floating in space? Space Glide is our family-friendly indoor rink that lets you imagine your way through the galaxy!

Blast off into wonder with Space Glide—where gliding transforms into an intergalactic adventure! Perfect for the adventurous astronaut, Space Glide combines the thrill of sliding with the awe of space exploration. Our galaxy-themed rink features space-themed projections, thanks to some beautiful open-source imagery from NASA.

Space Glide is the perfect place to create unforgettable memories for the whole family! Our indoor rink does not require skates. The rink is made of “Glice,” an eco-friendly, polymer-based, ice-like substance. Curious visitors can glide in NYSCI-provided booties, making the experience fun and accessible for all ages and skill levels.
