Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Watch the 95th parade live from the streets of NYC of on NBC : 9am – noon – Thursday November 25

Kick off the holiday season with Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Each year, more than 3.5 million people in NYC & more than 50 million people at home watch the parade which showcases 50-foot balloons, balloonicles, floats, clowns, performance groups, musical stars, marching bands, and Santa Claus whilst they make their way through the streets of NYC.

The Route
There are 2.5 miles of public viewing along the NYC route in 2021.

Starts at West 77th Street & Central Park West at 9am ET (no (or limited) public viewing here)

Then heads to Central Park West – early risers arrive starting at 6am ET on the west side of Central Park West from West 75th to West 61st Streets. Great views can be found along this stretch.

The off to Columbus Circle – the parade turns here onto Central Park South (no public viewing here).

Onwards to Central Park South & 6th Avenue – the parade heads south onto 6th Avenue.

From 6th Avenue you will get great views from West 59th to West 38th Streets! Avoid watching on 6th Avenue between West 34th & West 38th Streets & on West 34th Street between 6th & 7th Avenues. The national television broadcast limits viewing here.

Finally to Macy’s Herald Square – the parade makes its final turn & stops in front of Macy’s Herald Square (no public viewing here).

The Line-Up
This year you can enjoy performances from Carrie Underwood, Andy Grammer, Christ Lane, Kristin Chenoweth, Kelly Rowland, Jon Batiste, Jordan Fishers, Jimmie Allen, Kim Petras, Darren Criss, Aespa, Foreigner, and so many more.

What’s New this Year
There will be 10 new balloons and floats – look our for Ada from Ada Twist, Scientist, Pikachu with Eeveee from Pokemon, Grogu from The Mandalorian, HEINZ Gravy Boat featuring a band of gallivanting Gravy Pirates,  to name only a few making their debut this year.
