Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

The parade starts at West 77th St & Central Park West (no public viewing at the starting line), heads down Central Park West to Columbus Circle, turns east along Central Park South, then goes south on 6th Avenue to 34th Street and finishes at Macy’s Herald Square.

Best viewing spots:

Central Park West (W 75th to W 61st Streets) on the west side – arrive early; many spectators line up from about 6am.

Additional public viewing is available along the south side of Central Park South and 6th Avenue along the route.

Tip for families: stake out a spot on Central Park West north of Columbus Circle for easier bathroom breaks, snacks, and a quick park detour if kids need a movement break.
