Dig + Discover at Jewish Museum
Ages 3 & up
Unique in NYC, visit the newly-renovated immersive space where families may discover a passion for ancient artifacts in a simulated archaeological dig site, open once a month on Sundays. Find and examine replicas of artifacts from the Museum’s collection through digging and uncovering these objects with trowels and brushes. See original artifacts on display from the Late Bronze Age to early 20th century across several layers of time. Enjoy activities that include texture exploration, sketching and magnifying objects to examine details, and read books together with archaeology themes.
This program is facilitated by members of our Teen Intern program.
Free with Museum Admission; children 18 and under are free.
