19 Aug Last Chance for a Summer Swim at Gottesman Pool in Central Park

If you haven’t made it to the Gottesman Pool at the Davis Center this summer, there’s still time to squeeze in a swim before the season ends.

Located at the northern end of Central Park, Gottesman Pool is NYC’s newest public pool and offers free swimming in a pretty spectacular setting surrounded by the park. The 2026 swim season runs through September 13.

The pool is open daily from 11:00 am–7:00 pm, with the Davis Center closing from 3:00 pm–4:00 pm each day for pool cleaning. Swimmers are asked to leave the pool at 2:45 pm ahead of the closure.

With only a few weeks of summer swimming left, it’s a great excuse to pack the swimsuits, head to Central Park and enjoy a final splash before fall arrives.
