Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks

Where to Watch NYC’s Fourth of July Fireworks in 2026

The Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks return on July 4, 2026, for a landmark celebration marking both America’s 250th birthday and the 50th anniversary of the Macy’s fireworks spectacular. The free event will once again light up New York City’s skyline with an unforgettable display.

While official viewing areas will be announced closer to the event, several locations are expected to offer excellent views of the fireworks.

Brooklyn Bridge Park remains one of the most popular places to watch, with sweeping waterfront views and an iconic backdrop of Lower Manhattan.

Brooklyn Heights Promenade offers elevated views across the East River and has long been a favourite spot for watching major city celebrations.

South Street Seaport sits close to the launch area and is expected to be one of the city’s prime viewing locations, with views of both the Brooklyn Bridge and East River.

Gantry Plaza State Park in Long Island City combines spectacular Manhattan skyline views with plenty of waterfront space for families.

Astoria Park is a popular Queens option, offering East River views and a more relaxed atmosphere than some of the busiest Manhattan and Brooklyn locations.

Randall’s Island provides additional waterfront viewing opportunities and plenty of room to spread out for an evening picnic before the show.

Families spending the holiday at the beach may also want to consider Coney Island, which traditionally hosts its own Independence Day celebrations and fireworks which happen every Friday throughout the summer.
