Family Program: Celebrating Public Art

Across many cultures, parades bring communities together through vibrant displays. During this program, families will explore what makes a parade float exciting, meaningful, and visually dynamic! Taking inspiration from our exhibit Searching for Superpublics, families will think about how public art can spark connection in everyday spaces. Together, they’ll design and build their own model floats and imagine how these creations might move through a city and invite people to participate.

Family Programs are designed for children ages 5 – 13 years old, accompanied by an adult.

Two Sessions: 11am – 1pm or 2pm – 4pm

Location:

AIA New York | Center for Architecture
536 LaGuardia Place
New York, NY 10012
