20 Nov Empire Skate of Mind Roller Rink Opens at Brooklyn Children’s Museum
Brooklyn Children’s Museum has recently opened its brand-new rooftop roller rink, Empire Skate of Mind, bringing family-friendly skating to Crown Heights. Inspired by the legendary Empire Roller Rink, this colourful new addition invites kids and caregivers to roll together in a fun, supportive setting.
The rink welcomes children aged 3 and up, with skates, helmets and protective gear provided. Located on the museum’s outdoor terrace, it offers a fresh, active experience that fits perfectly alongside BCM’s hands-on exhibits.
Empire Skate of Mind is open Wednesday to Friday from 2–5pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 10am–5pm from November 15, 2025 – April 12, 2026.
Museum admission: $15 per person (Free for BCM members and visitors under 1)
Skating Tickets: With rental skates – $10 per person ($8 for members) Bring your own – $8 per person ($6 for members).
