Staten Island Children’s Museum to Close for Annual Fall Fix-Up

The Staten Island Children’s Museum will be closed from Monday, September 1 through Tuesday, September 16, 2025 for its annual Fall Fix-Up. This short pause lets the team deep-clean, service exhibits, refresh hands-on areas, and complete behind-the-scenes maintenance so families return to safe, sparkling spaces. The Museum will reopen on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 with regular hours.

While the Museum is closed, make a day of it around Snug Harbor: explore the Staten Island Museum, the Noble Maritime Collection, the Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden, and classes and galleries at Art Lab – all right on the same historic campus. These nearby spots offer art, history, nature, and creative programs that are easy to pair with your post-reopening visit.
