Little New-Yorkers: We Are Water Protectors
This month, our books are inspired by Kay Walkingstick’s celebration and exploration of Indigenous land and art in the Kay Walkingstick / Hudson River School exhibition! In We Are Water Protectors, written by Carole Lindstrom and illustrated by Michaela Goade, hear all about the Indigenous-led movement to protect Earth’s water and see colorful illustrations that showcase the beauty of the natural world. You can then take the Earth Steward and Water Protector Pledge, and make your own Water Protector button!
Join us every Tuesday and Friday at the Museum for story time and crafts! Each class includes a special hello song, silly dances and games, a story book reading, and a craft to do after the story.
