Saturday September 21
MUSEUM DAY

Museum Day is a one-day event in which participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide free entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket. Participants are allowed to download one ticket per email address. The ticket provides free general admission on Saturday, September 21, 2019, for two people.

Sunday September 22
THE FUNKEYMONKEYS

The Jewish Museum kicks off its fall 2019 family concerts with the FunkeyMonkeys on Sunday, September 22 at 11:30 am. The FunkeyMonkeys are a super-group of professional musicians, comedians, and teachers whose hilarious antics and soulful sounds have been described as “Seinfeld meets the Wiggles” and “Herbie Hancock’s Vaudeville Bar Mitzvah.” This concert, for kids ages 2 to 6 and their adult companions, will feature a dance-off in celebration of the Jewish New Year.

FDC Presents The 44th Annual FLATBUSH FROLIC

The Flatbush Frolic is an all day local street fair on Cortelyou Road (between Coney Island & Ocean Avenue) in the Ditmas Park neighborhood of Brooklyn. Live music, rides and games, kids activities, pizza eating contest and dance performances.

The Festival includes a week of Bookend Events throughout New York City, a lively Children’s Day and a celebratory Festival Day with more than 300 authors plus 250 booksellers filling a vibrant outdoor Literary Marketplace.
