Happy Thanksgiving

We want to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving.
Here at New York Loves Kids, we are very thankful for all the support that we have had since our launch just over 6 months ago. We are also very thankful that we can share family friendly events in NYC with you all, and hope that you are finding our website a great resource.
Thanksgiving is a very special family time, and although this year may be a more low key affair in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, we hope that it is still a special one.
Macy’s has set aside 5,000 seats along its Thanksgiving Day Parade route for families affected by the storm and today, Mayor Bloomberg announced that over 26,500 Thanksgiving meals will be distributed at 30 sites for New Yorkers in areas impacted by Hurricane Sandy. Special turkey dinners will be available at the City’s prepared food distribution sites from 11:00am-3:00pm on Thursday, November 22. In addition, the City will distribute over 2,400 turkeys and 3,000 side dishes to elected officials and community organizations that are serving holiday meals.
