Storytime with Denise Rosario Adusei: CESARIA FEELS THE BEAT
In honor of Disability Awareness Month, join us for a special reading with Denise Rosario Adusei and her brand-new book Cesaria Feels the Beat as well as an interactive sign language activity to follow! In this powerful and inspiring picture book, Cesaria, a deaf girl, stands up for herself by removing her shoes during her Carnival dance performance so she can feel the music and rhythm through her bare feet. Join us afterward for a special sign language activity where we will learn to sign words used in the book.
